Have you ever wondered what the beginning of the volleyball season looks like for players? McKayla Elliott, a volleyball player for Revolution, knows all about launching into her volleyball term, and shares her goals and inspiration for the startup to her season.
When asked about her goals for the volleyball year, Elliott felt that she needed to believe in herself to complete her objective, “to gain confidence and become a better player and teammate … [through] practice and determination for training,” Elliott said. “Hitting the gym, and just practicing mostly.”
When questioned about how she has been getting ready for her season to kick off, conditioning and training have been getting her prepped and ready to play well, working on strengthening her muscles and improving her coordination.
“Playing with Mckayla has made me a better player because she hits the ball at me and I can pass it,” teammate Jerrilynn Hotchkiss, who plays alongside Elliott on Revolution, said.
However, being described for her volleyball element, Elliott is seen as less verbal and more focused off the floor, “I feel like off the court, she’s very quiet, but on the court she actually talks,” Hotchkiss adds.
Elliott shares a positive impact with her teammates and could be illustrated as, “athletic, outgoing, and strategic,” Hotchkiss states. Just a couple words describing Elliott’s presence and overall appearance on her volleyball team, which reflects how much volleyball means to her, and how willing Elliott is to improve, for herself and for her team.
Elliott is shown to be a very dedicated, hardworking, accomplished volleyball player, praised by her teammates and coaches and hopes to keep working to grow for her volleyball career.
