The Off-Campus show was released May 13, 2026. Off-Campus series was originally a book series about a hockey romance that recently became a show on prime video. The first season consists of 8 episodes and is mainly about the story of Garret Graham and Hannah Wells. The first season is based on the first book in the series, The Deal by Elle Kennedy. There are five books in the Off-Campus series that consist of The Mistake, (second) The Score, (third) The Goal, (fourth) and The Legacy (fifth). The directors of the show said that they’ll be making more seasons for the rest of the characters from the books.
The first book, The Deal, follows Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham and their relationship at Briar University. Garret is the captain of the Briar hockey team and is very popular, while Hannah’s major is music producing and is not very popular. They begin fake dating after Garret sees that Hanna aced her physics test, and he failed. If he keeps failing the class, he won’t be able to play on the Briar hockey team anymore. So Hannah agrees to tutor him, in favor of fake dating him to get her crush, Justin Kohl’s, attention. Hannah quickly finds out that Garret Graham doesn’t do girlfriends, and she dislikes him because he is a cocky egotistic jock, so he couldn’t fall in love with her, right? When they get to know each other from tutoring lessons and how to get her crush’s attention, they begin to connect and later end up confessing their feelings toward each other, and end up getting together.
Garrett’s best friends, who are also his teammates on the hockey team and his roommates, are John Logan, Dean Di Laurentis, and John Tucker. In the show, it also follows Allie (Hannah’s best friend) and Dean’s (Garrett’s best friend) secret relationship. The rest of the books follow the four main guys’ and their love interests, their hockey career, and college life.
This story, while a story about romance, is also a story of growing from past traumas, and telling someone you trust to help you get you through the hard times in the past and present, and to be there for you in the hard times.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed reading the books and watching the show and I really recommend this if you like romance, hockey, drama, and college life to watch the show/read the books.
