Olivia Rodrigo is a well known artist who has written 2 albums called Guts and Sour, with Sour being streamed over 300 million times. Rodrigo was 19 years old when she won 3 grammys in 2022 and continued to be nominated in 2024 and 2025.
On April 17th, 2026, she dropped her first song to her new album “You seem pretty sad for a girl so in love” called “drop dead.” The sound has reached number 1 on the billboard hot 100.
CJHS student Addison Omer shares her thoughts on the Rodrigo’s new song, “I think it’s really good and is very love girl core; I have been listening to it nonstop and I wish she would come to Michigan on her Unraveled tour.”
Rodrigo performed on SNL promoting her 2nd unreleased song of her new album that will drop June 12, called begging. following her announcing her Unraveled tour where she will be going to 20 different U.S states with 40+ shows.
CJHS student Elle Sewiek explains her excitement for the new album, “I am very excited after hearing the song she performed on SNL. I’m scared it’s going to be so sad. I have listened to her for a while and seriously can’t wait to jam out to her new album this summer.”
Rodrigo is 23 years old and has already created a huge impact on the world with her music and continues to impress everyone with her groundbreaking music and amazing personality.
