Book 1. Powerless: Powerless is about an ordinary (has no power) named Paedyn Gray and how one interaction with a stranger on the streets of Ilya can change her whole life. While also focusing on an elite who is a welder (most powerful) Kia, who is the king’s enforcer. He is trained to hunt down ordinaries under his father/king’s commands. Kia is trained to hate everything Paedyn is; he is trained to hunt her down, yet he can’t help falling for her during her time in the castle due to the trials (neither can his brother Kitt), but little do they know the secrets that are about to be revealed.
Powerful ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
Book 1.5 Powerful: Powerful focuses on Paedyn’s best friend, Adena, and how when Paedyn left for the trials, she had to learn how to survive on her own. Little does she know, soon she’ll meet a wielder (most powerful) named Mac/Makoto who’s also a wielder. They are each other’s opposites. Adeana is sweet and warm like honey, while Mac is grumpy and doesn’t let people in so easily. Will Adena be able to break down his walls and will romance sparks fly? Who’s to say what or who will get in their way; will fate rip them apart?

Book 2. Reckless: Reckless starts off where we left off in book one: in the forest where former King Edric and Paedyn Gray finally talk and secrets are revealed, trust broken, life shattered. Paedyn is now on the run trying to escape from her fate in Ilya. Little does she know the new king, Kitt, already has plans for her and has sent his most trusted ally, his enforcer after her (but does he really trust him?). During their chase, they realized not all feelings have been lost and perhaps they are still fools for each other, so they pretend. What will Kia choose: a life with Paedyn or follow his duties and go back to Ilya with the silver savior and let her face an unknown fate?
Fearful ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
Book 3. Fearful: Fearful is about Paedyn’s own trials to be the future queen of Ilya, but will she fold to their pressure and try her hardest to impress them or be her? Kia is still shocked with the fate Paedyn is forced to live. How could his love be betrothed to another, worst of all his very own brother (that was Kitt’s plan all along)? Wondering if he should have stayed in the field of forget-me-nots, will Paedyn’s and Kia’s life always be stolen moments and secret meetings at the willow tree? While trying to open their borders to fellow kingdoms, the truth starts to reveal true intentions, past, and feelings. Paedyn meets a special someone who was very close to Adena, but sadly fate will have other plans. So will Kia and Paedyn really have their happy-ever-after, or what Kia once said: the beast doesn’t get the beauty after all?

Book 3.5. Fearless: Fearless takes us back to the beginning of Fearful, but it does not focus on Paedyn and Kia, but instead Kitt and what led him to his fate and all the dark secrets he had held. We also read from death’s point of view. Everyone thought death was a man, but little did they know it was a woman, named Mara. As we read, we see Kitt and Mara bond. Will Kitt listen to what death is trying to say, or will he betray death itself? Read their story and find out.
