On a hot summer day, I came back from sleeping at my grandma’s. When we finally got to my house, I found a cage in the basement; there was a white ball of fur and a dog, soon to be named Bear. He looked like a fake plushy.
“We got this dog because it’s a small loving ball of fur, he was cute, friendly, and overall the best choice for our family,” Lula Berisaj (my mom) said.
My dad (Mr. Berisaj) did not like Bear for the longest time. At first, he didn’t even let Bear come upstairs because he was shedding a lot, but now, he loves Bear. My mom (Mrs. Berisaj) was the opposite; Mrs. Berisaj loved Bear. She would always let him sleep on her bed when Mr. Berisaj wasn’t home. Mrs. Berisaj also buys him special food like duck feet, and steak for bear.
My dog used to always run away, he wasn’t used to us yet, for 5 months of having him I would chase him every time. Neighbors complained, people called the cops, I chased him through separate neighborhoods, people even thought that I was a robber. But we stuck with him. We trained him, helped him, and he eventually got used to us and now he’s better.
“We stuck with bear and helped him through hard times. He missed his mother and he’s great now,” Emma Berisaj said.
Bear is happy now, he loves sleeping, walks, and loves other dogs. We can tell he’s getting really lonely so we’re getting him another dog, a Malamute. We were really happy to see him happy because he’s just such an innocent and cute dog.
