Some teachers just do their job with little excitement and enthusiasm, but 8th grade English and ninth grade History teacher Ms. Brandi Bates, is a different story.
History student Draydon Lafee (9) shares kind words about Ms. Bates, and how she works hard to make students’ lives easier. Ms. Bates makes a positive impact on Drayden’s daily school experience, “Ms. Bates’s organized classroom and tools help students succeed and get the best grade possible.” She always puts her students first in every situation and is willingly helpful.
Besides her selflessness in an educational setting, Lafee says Ms. Bates is “super kind to all of her students, and always brightens people’s day by having a bright personality.” Ms. Bates is always wanting to converse with her students on topics happening in their life, and her ability to recognize student behavior and emotions is quite incredible.
Ms. Bates openly assists students with their work, and explains things in a way that each student can understand. She is loved by many students, and is a great part in the Clarkston Junior High staff.
With the quick switch between eighth grade English and ninth grade History and no conference hour, Ms. Bates is able to lead classes with energy and enthusiasm.
Ms. Bates has touched many lives at Clarkston Junior High, and she will continue to do so during the 2025-2026 school year.
