Clarkston resident Ryan Eisert is a digital marketer. Now you may be asking yourself, what exactly is digital marketing? I asked the same question, and Eisert stated that digital marketing is “owning a company where you help advertise other small businesses, with ads and setting up websites.”
Now, you may be wondering, how does one obtain this job? Must you go to school for it? I asked if he went to college for it. “No, actually, I went to college for a different career before I got into my profession. I went to college for biomedical science, but that wasn’t the profession for me, so I became a recruiter, or sort of a headhunter,” Eisert stated.
But how did he get into digital marketing? “About 20 years ago, I started building my business (Sectorlink) and stumbled into digital marketing,” Eisert said.
That’s how Ryan Eisert found the career for him. So the message here is, if you don’t love your job right now, don’t stop looking until you find the one for you, even if you’re like Eisert and it takes a few years.
