Did you know that SmartPass was invented by 2 senior high schools seeking a difference in hallway passes? According to SmartPass, they are a digital hall pass system that provides real-time visibility into student movement, which is crucial for a secure school environment.
According to an article from Enriching Students, digital passes are starting to be seen as “an accountability and security essential” for addressing modern school concerns. In the event of a genuine emergency, like a lockdown or evacuation, the office or your teachers can use the system dashboard to quickly see which student are out of the classroom and where they were headed, making sure everyone is accounted for. Features can be set to detect and block meetups between certain students, which helps prevent issues like bullying, vaping, or vandalism in unsupervised areas, and therefore schools should use SmartPass.
But how do the students feel? Well, I questioned student Cash Donnelly on his opinion on SmartPass, “I think SmartPass works well; it ensures student safety and now I don’t have to carry a hall pass with me every time I need to leave the class.”
SmartPass really does have an impact on students.
According to SmartPass, in the last 2 years, nearly 2,800 schools have adapted to a new way of hallway passes and safety. Schools should use SmartPass because it is safe and efficient.
