Marilu Fitzgerald, a loving and caring wife, and mother of two children, dives into her roots and family life. Fitzgerald is a patient and caring force in her household and community.
Fitzgerald has been calling Clarkston her home for the past ten years of her life; she loves the community and the downtown area, but Fitzgerald’s roots go back to Grosse Pointe.
Fitzgerald is a loving mother to two children, Sabrina and Julia. Fitzgerald talks about how being a parent has taught her not to overreact over small things. Fitzgerald shared a piece of advice that many parents, grandparents, teachers, etc. might find useful, “If something is going on with your kids, don’t just ignore it, or want to be their friend; you need to listen and see what’s going on.”
Fitzgerald tells us about the story of a long-rooted love between her and her husband of 25 years. Fitzgerald and her husband were lucky enough to be introduced to each other from their friends, and they instantly hit it off and caught feelings for each other. “As soon as we said, ‘Oh, when’s your birthday?’ and we shared the same birthday, April 21st, that was when we just clicked.” This was a strong indication for her husband and her.
It really makes a difference being a caring and strong force in the community and household, and Marilu Fitzgerald is a great example of these things.
